In February-March, 2020; I was on the winter retreat support team at the Amaravati Buddhist monastery in Hertfordshire. One of my duties was to look after the indoor plants, including many orchids, that were brought in by visitors.
As Covid-19 spread though Europe, the visitors dwindled, and the freshly flowering orchids with them.
Later, during lockdown, I made a series of images of a few remaining flowers as they dried and decayed.
